In a review of Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2, which set the standard for gaming with multiple sales records, Infinity Ward is already planning to release future DLC for the game containing online map packs, as well as missions for the successful Spec Ops. No great detail was given on either of the updates, but we can be assured that gamers will get an even newer taste of the Modern Warfare series when additional content is released.

Infinity Ward definitely hasn't been slacking off. They created the highest selling first day game of all time, as well as the definite most popular Call of Duty in the future as sales continue to rise.

After only a couple of days of the game being out, Infinity Ward released a small (non-downloadable) update for the console versions containing new gamemodes 3rd Person Team Tactical, Team Deathmatch Express, and Mosh Pit. Here are some descriptions:

3RD PERSON TEAM TACTICAL
4 vs 4 in the 3rd person perspective with mixed game types such as Domination, TDM, etc.

TEAM DEATHMATCH EXPRESS
Regular Team Deathmatch with shorter intermissions in between matches

MOSH PIT
A random selection of any game mode. You never know what you're going to play.

Also, Infinity Ward's fourzerotwo has been recieving many requests already from gamers on future updates. He has mentioned that Infinity Ward is already discussing adding in more Hardcore game modes, including possibly Hardcore Headquarters.
