After recent news of a French retailer recieving early copies of Halo 3: ODST and selling them, Bungie said that any early gamers who have play history of ODST would be banned from XBOX Live. Meanwhile, Microsoft had no comment.
Well now Microsoft has spoken.
Microsoft is now stating that gamers will not be banned from XBOX Live for having an early copy of ODST if they bought the copy legally. However, if they illegally copied or pirated a copy of ODST for themselves, they will be banned from XBOX Live.
It's good to get that cleared up after Bungie said they would be banning gamers. BLPGaming and many other websites knew that it wasn't right to ban people who go the game fairly, so we are all glad that Microsoft cleared everything up.
