SUMMARY: E3, DAY 0
The Electronic Entertainment Expo is really getting started from tonight, but yesterday we got a preview of what we can expect of the rest of the week ahead. Microsoft, Ubisoft and Electronic Arts held their press conferences and provides the necessary news.

There has been numorous announcements done and that even before the Electronic Entertainment Expo started. Everything about the Microsoft, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft press conferences. Everything about that day, you can now read and watch the summary of 'Day 0'.
 
Microsoft Press Conference
Microsoft has announced quite a few announcements during its press conference. The biggest news is Project Natal. This project allows the player to (controllerless) controll objects or people in a game. A camera in a small device at the bottom of the TV is connected, ensures that the movements of the whole body be established. In addition, a microphone, record your voice. Two people already working on games for Natal Project are director Steven Spielberg and Peter Molyneux of Lion Head Studios. The latter is currently engaged in a game where you can talk and interact with a virtual character called Milo.

Other big news: a new Metal Gear game for the Xbox 360. Metal Gear Solid: Rising has Raiden in the lead and by developer Hideo Kojima announced at the press conference. It is not yet clear whether the game will also be playable to other systems.
 
Equally big news is that besides Halo: ODST, which was shown with the first gameplay, a new game in the Halo series is in development by developer Bungie. Halo: Reach will see its daylight in the autumn of 2010 and there is nothing yet known.
 
Microsoft has announced a number of sequels. One of them is Crackdown 2. The game will appear in 2010 and has both an online and a versus multiplayer. The development is done by Ruffian Games instead of the original developer of Crackdown, Realtime Worlds. Left 4 Dead 2, out November 17th for both Xbox 360 and PC. It is not clear whether this is a US only date. The game gives you the possibility to attack the zombies with a chainsaw. Finally, there is Forza 3, a racegame which will release into the shops in October in the U.S.

There are also two games for Xbox Live Arcade announced. The first is Joy Ride, a cheerful race and stunt game where you can put your avatars in cars. The game is free to play and download. Epic is working on Shadow Complex, a side-scrolling shooter on Arcade, announced for this summer. The game promises to contain ten hours of gameplay.
 
Furthermore, Microsoft has a lot of new services for their system announced. For example, Games on Demand on Xbox Live in the United States. Complete games can be downloaded through this service. This can be done from August 30. Besides Microsoft points can also be paid with a credit card. Even Twitter, Facebook and Last.fm will get his spot on Xbox Live. It is not clear whether these services are available in Europe. Another announcement is the is Zune video. This is a video-on-demand service in which you can watch movies and television in 1080p Full HD.
 
Electronic Arts Press Conference
Electronic Arts and Crytek announced Crysis 2 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. This is remarkable because the first part was exclusively delivered for the PC. Crysis 2 will use the new CryENGINE 3. There is already a teaser appeared.
 
It was also announced that Electronic Arts will publish All Points Bulletin. The game is made by Realtime Worlds, the creators of Crackdown. At first, All Points Bulletin were to be published by Microsoft, but that is no more. All Points Bulletin is an online free-roaming action game.
 
Electronic Arts plans to immerse gamers in its upcoming MMOG, Star Wars: The Old Republic, by giving each of its character an individual voice over. According to EA, this is one of the greatest voice acting projects in history.
 

Mass Effect 2

 
 
EA also announced a whole new sports franchise, namely, MMA, short for Mixed Martial Arts. The game will show the sport in a realistic way, but more details, like the systems where the game is going to appear or a release date, is not been said.
 
Metal Artists Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead and Ozzy Osbourne of Black Sabbath will rise as their characters in the game Brutal Legend. In addition to the identifiable physical properties, the three also give their voice-over to the game. Brutal Legend will be released in the shops on October 17.
 
Ubisoft Press Conference
In Ubisoft's press conference was also some couple things announced. Red Steel 2 comes bundled with the Wii Motion Plus. Whether the game will release without the console in stores, is not known.
 
Ubisoft, in collaboration with Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson Tintin a game to release. The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn is based on the upcoming movie co-directed by the famous Hollywood directors. Another movie game is Avatar, which was first shown today. The game is based on the film of James Cameron. Cameron is involved with the development of the game which wil appear on all major platforms .
 
Ubisoft announced yet more new games: Academy of Champions Football for example. The game is developed using the world famous footballer Pele. The game is set in a fantastical castle where football matches are played. Academy of Champions Football is exclusively for the Wii.
 
In addition, Ubisoft also working on a fitness game. Your Shape at the end of this year out for the Wii. The game will include a camera. With the camera you will not need to assist with a stick controller or a Balance Board. The camera can be plugged into the USB port of the Wii.
 
Ubisoft is going to publish No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, where a new trailer has appeared.
 
The publisher will work with Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the creator of Rez and Lumines on Project Eden. " This game will probably get motion-sensitive controller. It is not clear which project name "Eden" will ultimately get and on what platforms the game appears. Mizuguchi wanted to say that Eden is "a new motion-sensitive experience".

Other news
TellTale Games is going to release a appeared five monthly episodes of Tales of Monkey Island on PC. Thus, the developer will bring the popular point-and-click Monkey Island back on July 7 on PC which later will follow on the Wii. After there will be a remake of The Secret of Monkey Island which will release on PC and Xbox Live Arcade. In addition to the graphics in high definition "remake", the game will also contains the voice-acting.
 
Fat Princess will appear at the end of June on PlayStation Network. In the game you must save a fat princess, but other players will try that too. In addition, the PSP games Ape Academy 2, Everybody's Golf 2, Wipeout Pulse Platinum and siphon Filter: Logan's Shadow will appear in early June on PSN, so you can download them and put them on your PSP.
 
Sony will bring new downloadable content for Wipeout HD this summer named Fury. The package includes eight new circuits, thirteen new ships and three new game modes. The price is still unknown.
 
Starcraft II will likely appear end this year. Blizzard wants to release the game only if it meets the quality requirements of the business requirements.
 
The first video of Tony Hawk: Ride has been released. The game appears to have a cartoon-like appearance.

Warner brings next year a new Lego game named Harry Potter: Years 1-4, for which systems it will appear is not yet announced. The game is just like the other Lego games developed by Travelers Tales and let you walk around with student wizard Harry Potter at school Hogwarts.
